| Engine
19-3 is a 1954 Mack with a 750 GPM pump and 300 gallon water tank.
Engine 19-3 carries 2000' of 3" supply line and 500' of assorted
attack lines. This engine also carries assorted hand tools and
engine company equipment. Because it was built in 1954 Engine 19-3
does not carry as much equipment as a modern day engine company.
Engine 19-3 is still in service today and does respond to calls
occasionally, although it is used primarily for parades and public
relations. In January of 2000 19-3 responded to a multiple alarm
fire in Upper Darby Township and supplied several engines and a
ladder pipe for several hours. So although Engine 19-3 is almost
50 years old it still can perform as if it was brand new. |
