To celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2012, Globe has partnered with Dupont and the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) to donate 125 sets of turnout gear to deserving fire departments. Departments must be all-volunteer. Applications must be received by May 31, 2012. 125 sets of gear will be awarded between July and December 2012. I found this website when googling Joseph Lowden whom is my great great grandfather. I knew he lived here along with his son Joseph W. Lowden, I didn't know he was the first fire chief, great to find new history every day! Keep up the awesome work you guys are hero's.
