 	<title>Truck 19 to Basement Fire</title>

 <![CDATA[&nbsp;Today, around noon, the company was dispatched to Serrill Ave, in Yeadon for a building fire. Medic 16-7 arrived on location and reported a basement fire. Truck 19âs Hook/Can and Officer forced the basement door, confirming a small fire in the basement. Truck 19 Hook/Can knocked the bulk of the fire with a can then proceeded to conduct a primary search. Engine Companies 16 and 24 stretched multiple lines, extinguishing the rest of the fire. Rescue and Chief 19 discovered a sheen on the surface of the creek from an apparent fuel spill. Company 9 was dispatched for the spill unit, and deployed containment booms in the creek. Training Officer Timmy Moore had the firefighters tackle a series of different evolutions, using a four man Truck crew and a five man truck crew, while also throwing in some obstacles as well.  <![CDATA[LFC members got a special surprise today when they were greeted by the Great grandson" David Lowden"&nbsp;and great , great granddaughter "Sara Lowden" of Lansdowne's first Fire Chief, "Joseph L. Lowden". The Lowden family shared pictures with the members and a few old stories about the Past volunteer&nbsp;Fire Chief. &nbsp;Joseph L. Lowden was chief in 1894-??? He lived 77 years and passed on Feb 9,1934. Chief Lowden was a carpenter and believed to have a big part in building the first Lansdowne Fire House.  <![CDATA[This afternoon as members were in the station eating lunch the companies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Duncan Avenue in Yeadon for a bedroom fire. Medic 16-7 arrived and reported fire in the second floor middle bedroom. Units arrived and began stretching lines, Engine 16-2 dropped a supply line. Crews were able to handle the contents of the bedroom fire with the can. The assignment was scaled back to 16, Pipeline 24 and Truck 19.
